Reference topics provide explanations of concepts, ideas, theories and methods. This type of topic usually contains narrative text without a lot of numbered lists, graphics, or other design elements. Reference topics are a way to give users that are particularly interested in a subject an in-depth view. Often, you can think of reference topics as truly "reference" material, like an appendix, encyclopedia entry, textbook chapter, or bibliography.
Use this space to write reference material that will provide your users with a more in-depth view of a subject.
